And this is a Deck the Hallmark podcast synopsis!

"Checkin' it Twice" originally aired Friday October 20th, 2023. And it went a little something like this...

Ashley is a hot shot real estate agent. Scott is a professional hockey player.

Both of them are at the air port having bad days cuz they've both just been broken up with. They're at the gift shop, chit-chat, and go on their own way. When Ashley gets home, they ask if her boyfriend is coming and she immediately lies and says yes. Scott is there to play for the Division III hockey team hoping to finally make it to the big leagues.

Ashley is at a market and goes to pay but she can't. Why? CUZ SHE HAS SCOTT'S CARD!

After a rocky practice, he takes the boys out for drinks but can't pay for them cuz he has her card! So the next day, she goes to the game and yells at him while he's playing "I HAVE YOUR CARD" and then he gets pummeled.

After the game, she meets up with them and they go to get the cards from the establishments and they get to know each other a bit. They get a cab to head home and it turns out he's staying in her guest cottage! OEMGEEEEE.

So Ashley is in a bit of a real estate rut(TM) and she's trying to get out of it. Scott is in a bit of a hockey rut but is starting to enjoy his time there giving pointers to bad hockey players and playing pick up with kids. Ashley joins him for a skate and they have a real heart-to-heart. So someone in Boise gets hurt and he assumes he's getting called up but nope - a younger fella is. He's bummed but there's no time to dwell! He has to fill in and coach the peewee hockey fun time. He does such a great job that his coach gives him the coaches bible and says "think about this."

Ashley and Scott spend more time together at the Christmas market and she tells him about how she has a dream gig opening up in NYC but she's conflicted cuz she's loving it here. And the big news keeps coming cuz Scott has been invited to come to Boise!

He's goin' to Boise!

She hears the news and also decides she's going back to NYC for the gig, so they exchange gifts and say goodbye. She starts to second guess herself and he starts to wanna coach. They bump into each other in the airport and profess love and then kiss big ones!!!
